Suggestion: The option to click on the box of the issue and candidate to see their verbal position on the issue.
i.e. Click check for Guns for Clinton and actually read her verbal position on Guns.
Please include the following:
1. Personal Income Tax
2. Federal Reserve
3. Fractional Banking
4. Fiat Money

or just show a link to the source, especially for those cases where there is an exclamation point
I would also add a row on teaching evolution. 3 of the Republican candidates don't even believe in abortion.
Also, I think Hilary Clinton would definitely support a national health care system if she were elected. She proposed one before. And yes, I know about Sicko and her campaign donations from the health industry.
This is really very useful. A one-stop shop for voters.
What would be really nifty would be a form that asked you what your opinions on these issues are, and then some kind of suggestion system that tells you which candidate best matches your views.
yet more misunderstanding of Ron Paul's positions.
Like the same sex marriage. He doesn't appose it. He thinks it's a State matter and out of the realm of the Federal Government. (he may actually oppose it but it's just not something the Fed Gov should be involved in)
And "internet neutrality". He's against ALL Government regulations on the internet.
Under "immigration: legalization path" Paul has repeatedly said that people must follow the legal means to become citizens. So that is completely wrong.
Embryonic Stem Cells: He isn't against this, that I know of, but he IS against Federal funding for the research. It is supposed to be through private parties for this. Being against funding is NOT the same as being against the research.

I sent an email and now posting here your Ron Paul facts are wrong.. do you work for USA today? The mud slinging left or right?
Use AJAX to allow items to be "hidden" so if i dont like ones, i cant click hide so i can compare others more easily.
Great site.... It would be awesome if you could make this site perform some type of satisfising sort criteria so people could pick the issues most important and see who comes out on top.
The first row (names) should follow you when you scroll down. I'm not suggesting iframes, but it should be possible? (rewrite the row at top of screen with AJAX?)
Can you do away with green check / red x for certain issues. Like attacking IRAN is not a green check, FFS...
Maybe a little bomb or tank icon for those who want war, and an 'X' or peace sign for those that don't want war or more troops, or torture
According to http://www.hillaryclinton.com/issues/healthcare/
Hillary Clinton supports universal healthcare
Ron Paul's position on same sex unions is NOT unknown. I heard him say he does not think government should be interfering in such matters, either pro or con. That's all we need to know, his personal opinion is his own business!
How about adding medical marijuana, habeas corpus, domestic spying, corporate taxes, etc. Mens rights issues would be the important one to me, as Ron Paul promotes feminist rights at the cost of mens rights.
This is very biased, because you get to choose, for each candidate, whether they get a green nice looking checkmark, or an ugly looking red X.
For example, instead of listing whether the candidate supports (green check) equal rights for gays, you have worded it in terms of a specific proposal that has the reverse outcome, so those who support NO RIGHTS FOR GAYS get the green check. Nice job making a biased chart appear unbiased.
Can you create a questionair that lists all these issues and then at the end it tells you which candidate is best suited for you? Just an idea.

That would be perfect if you could do that.
1) Thanks, good start
2) Please change the graphics, my printer is poor at differentuating the symbols
3) Consider providing the info in excel type data so that one can re-sort and weight the results.
4) Perhaps also allow users to enter other rows so that they can be added in. Again perhaps a single set of text giving the Issue and 15 numbers, 9=Support, 0=Oppose, 7=Supports-now, and 2=Opposes now
I think there should be added a tick for "Believes the state should determine a position." Stating that Ron Paul, for example, doesn't support same-sex marriage and stem cell research is not correct, and it is misleading.
Could you include "abstinence only" education in schools?
First of all put all the (D) together and all the (R) together. Who cares that all candidates are alphabetical. It is more useful to compare the candidates by party.

there most definitely is a difference between approving of federal funding for research and allowing the research to be carried out by others.
Arranging the candidates by party would clearly show which candidates have positions which are unusual for their party.

We are in the process of adding that feature. Please check back soon, thank you!

Perhaps a quiz or a ticker at the bottom that goes up every time you click a square for a candidate would make it easier to see who you agree with/disagree with the most.
